(2) Efficiency

LED is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly product, and the driving power supply has a higher efficiency. It is very important to dissipate heat from the junction where the power supply is installed in the lighting fixture. The higher the working efficiency of the power supply, the less power it consumes, and the lower the heat value in the lighting fixture, which may reduce the temperature of the lighting fixture. It is beneficial to reduce the light loss of the LED. (3) High Power Factor The power factor is the grid’s requirement for loads. Generally, there is no mandatory index value for high-power electrical appliances under 70 watts. Although a lower power factor of a single electrical appliance with a relatively small output power will have no impact on the grid, the large number of lighting fixtures used at night and the over-concentration of similar loads will cause serious environmental pollution to the grid. For the LED drivers of 30W~40W drivers, it is said that in the near future, there may be certain index requirements for power factor. (4) Driving mode Driver manufacturers introduce two main types: one is a constant voltage source supplies several constant current sources, and each constant current source independently supplies power to each LED system. This method is flexible in configuration. If one LED fails, it will not affect the operation of other LEDs, but the cost will be higher. The other is a direct constant current power supply system, which is actually the driving mode adopted by "Zhongke Huibao". The LEDs are connected in series or in parallel. Its characteristics are lower cost, but poor flexibility, and it is also necessary to solve the problem of not affecting the operation of other LEDs if a certain LED fails. These two methods coexist for a period of time. The multi-channel constant current output power supply mode will be good in terms of cost and performance. It may be the main direction in the future. (5) Surge protection The ability of LED surge protection is not very good, especially the reverse voltage level. It is also very important to improve the maintenance of this area. Some LED lights are installed outside, such as LED street lights. Due to the start-up of the grid load and the induction of lightning, various surge protection will enter the grid system, and some surge protection will also cause the damage of LED. Therefore, it is analyzed that the driving power supply of "Zhongke Huibao" should have certain deficiencies in surge protection. As the power supply and lighting fixtures are frequently replaced, the LED driving power supply must be able to suppress the entry of surge protection to protect the LED from being damaged. (6) Protection function In addition to the conventional protection function, it is best to add negative feedback of the LED ambient temperature in the constant current output to prevent the LED temperature from being too high; it must meet the requirements of electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility testing.
